Local Mission & Service
We aim to equip each other to be witnesses to Jesus wherever he has placed us. Whether it’s at home, at school, college or work we encourage one another to be willing to speak about Jesus and live a life that reflects a real relationship with him.
We also welcome everyone into the activities and life of the church. Following the floods of Boxing Day 2015, which severely affected many of our neighbours, the church has provided a Wednesday lunch for local people of all ages. This meal started as a response to the hardships people had experienced through the floods. However, its continued popularity has meant that the church has been very happy to continue with this provision.
Grace Café is an informal get together each week which is especially appreciated by some of our older people.
For many years the church has run a very popular Mothers & Toddlers group. The main problem with this group is the waiting list!
Christian Activities Together is a place where there are lots of smiles and laughs. It’s an afternoon get-together for people with learning difficulties, and is a joint venture between the church and a Christian charity.
For those who are interested in what we believe the church regularly runs introductory courses which are nationally used resources. These are Life Explored and Christianity Explored.
The church is committed to the principle of local outreach and supported a church planting venture for several years. We hope to be in a position to do so again in the future.
World Mission & Service
We know the UK is in real need of the Good News of Jesus. We are supportive of different initiatives to bring the Gospel to the people and cities of Britain.
Our vision as a church also extends further afield to other countries, being mindful that Jesus commanded his church to “Go into all the world and preach the good news.”
Our principle involvement with overseas mission is via Grace Baptist Mission (GBM)
At present the church has a close link with a church planting work in Poland, a work which is supported by GBM.
The church also has long standing links with Word Baptist Church, Kumasi, Ghana.
In July 2017 one of our members has travelled to South Korea to take up the church’s call to pastor the Sang Dang International Church at Cheongju.
Other mission and Christian care agencies the church has close links with are:
